Dmitry Krutoy met with the Vice-President of the World Bank Cyril Muller
October 11, 2018 the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Belarus Dmitry Krutoy held a meeting with Vice President of the World Bank Cyril Muller to discuss the level of cooperation and the way forward under the new Framework Partnership Strategy of the World Bank Group for Belarus for 2018-2022.
The meeting took place in Nusa Dua (Republic of Indonesia), where from 8 to 14 October the Belarusian delegation took part in the annual meeting of the Boards of Governors of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group.
During the meeting the sides discussed the current state of the investment portfolio of the World Bank in Belarus, as well as the preparation of new projects within the framework of the Strategic Framework of WB for Belarus.
Cyril Muller expressed his satisfaction with the cooperation of the World Bank with Belarus and noted the high efficiency of the implementation of Bank-financed projects in our country. He also announced a possible increase of allocations for new projects.
Dmitry Krutoy, in turn, said that projects with World Bank financing correspond to the priorities of socio-economic development of the Republic of Belarus and the State Programs and confirmed the interest of the Belarusian side in increase of the World Bank in Belarus investment portfolio.
