The Canton Fair (Guangzhou China Import and Export Fair) is China's largest comprehensive international trade fair with the widest range of products on display, an extensive customer base and a significant number of successful business deals. In total, 129 sessions of the fair were held, which contributed to the establishment of trade relations between China and more than 220 countries and regions of the world.

Among the participants on the opening ceremony: Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Li Keqiang, Vice Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Hu Chunhua, Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban, President of the Republic of Peru Pedro Castillo, Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin, representatives of government agencies, international organizations, diplomatic missions and business circles in a number of countries.

On October 15 Angelica Nikitina made a welcome video address to the participants of the Forum on new models of foreign trade against the backdrop of a new development structure. In her speech, the Deputy Minister of Economy noted: «In 2020, the foreign trade turnover between the countries has reached another maximum. China became the second trade partner of Belarus. Our export to the Chinese market has been growing dynamically: for 8 months of this year – up to 120%.

We look forward to the successful development of cross-border E-commerce in the country, in particular jointly with the largest Chinese platforms. The potential of this type of trade cooperation in Belarus is not fully in use. This is a new mechanism for promoting Belarusian products on the Chinese market. »
