Nikolay Snopkov introduced Yuri Chebotar as Minister of Economy

The President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on 4-th of January 2024 appointed Chebotar Yuri Adamovich as Minister of Economy of the Republic of Belarus. Today, the new Minister was introduced to the department staff by First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Nikolai Snopkov.

In his speech, Nikolai Snopkov outlined the tasks that the new Minister must solve.

«The first is an active stimulation of the economic potential of the real sector.

Your task is to formulate proposals based on the goal set by the Head of State and the Government and set clear tasks for industries and regions on how to achieve it» noted the First Deputy Prime Minister.

The second task, which Nikolai Snopkov outlined, concerns analytical work.

«Over the past period, the Ministry of Economy has done a lot of work to prepare high-quality analytics. The next stage is its improvement in terms of developing, based on this data, the necessary measures and proposals for what needs to be done in this regard. Such information will allow making effective management decisions at the level of the Government, industries, and enterprises». emphasized the First Deputy Prime Minister.

Nikolai Snopkov also congratulated Yuri Chebotar on his high appointment and expressed confidence that under the leadership of the new Minister, the Ministry’s staff will effectively solve the assigned tasks.

Yuri Chebotar thanked for the trust shown and assured that the Ministry of Economy will make every effort to fulfill the tasks set by the Head of State and voiced today by the First Deputy Prime Minister.
