Main tasks

The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus is a national state administration agency that is accountable to the Government of the Republic of Belarus. The Ministry of Economy carries out regulation and management in the area of analysis and forecast of social and economic development, develops and implements the state economic policy, fosters entrepreneurship and investments, takes care of insolvent (bankrupt) businesses.

The Ministry of Economy coordinates the operation of national state administration agencies and other government agencies, which are accountable to the Government of the Republic of Belarus, as far as these areas are concerned.

The operation of the Ministry of Economy is guided by the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus, other legal acts of the Republic of Belarus and the Regulations on the Ministry of Economy.
